Grants to Delaware nonprofit organizations for services that address vital needs resulting from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Funding is intended for reimbursement of basic operating expenses, such as personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies, as well as to cover increased services made necessary by the pandemic.
The Delaware Nonprofit Support Fund is jointly funded by the State of Delaware and New Castle County, using federal allocations under by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. It was established to support organizations that have provided critical services to Delawareans and Delaware families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nonprofits may receive reimbursement through two separate programs of the Fund:
Part 1: Operations Reimbursement - For basic operational expenses – such as assistance with cleaning supplies and funding for personal protective equipment.
Eligible expenses for reimbursement include:
Part 2: Capacity Grants - For expanded service offerings, increased caseloads, or other service increases attributable to the pandemic.

The maximum award expanded to $150,000 total over three rounds, regardless of operating budget size.
(Please note: Updated for Round 3 - The program has removed the funding cap for all organizations. Any organization, regardless of its operating size, can request reimbursement of up to $150,000 in total eligible expenses using the same application worksheets as in previous funding cycles. There are no longer maximum award levels for either Part 1 or Part 2.)
Expenses must be incurred during the period March 1 through December 30, 2020.
