2. What is GrantWatch and how are you different from other grant directories?
GrantWatch is a recognized leader in the field of grant services, awarded the highest rating by TopConsumerReviews in both 2019 and 2020. We are a premier grant listing directory and database and have developed a proprietary grant searching engine. We strive to be the one-stop source for reputable, reliable, and up-to-date grant search information. We are a subscription-based website and have been featured by prominent news sources including CBS NewsEntrepreneur, and Forbes.

3. Why does GrantWatch charge a fee?
You can locate grants for free on your own - but for people who are short on time, staff, or don't know where to start - they can use our extensive service to make it easier to find grants! Our service is targeted towards nonprofits and established for-profits (businesses). We are a proprietary listing directory, and our diligent staff spends each working day adding verified grants to our database. So, it is the program and service you are paying for - not the grant itself.

Did you know that up to 90% of foundations don’t publicly list their grants? Over 70% of our database is dedicated to grants from foundation and corporation funders. The remaining 30% of grants are from government funders.

12. Do you have grants for small businesses?
Yes, we have a whole section dedicated to
small businesses. Keep in mind that small businesses may also be shown as “for-profits” in our listings. We highly recommend selecting only one category at a time for the most efficient results. Watch our tutorial to learn how to find grants for small businesses.

13. Do you have grants for nonprofits?
Yes, our database primarily has grants for
nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and schools. Watch our tutorial to learn how to find grants for nonprofits.

14. Can I search for grants based on my recipient type?
Yes, we have filters available to help narrow down your search.

• Grants for Nonprofits
• Grants for Small Businesses/For-Profits
• Grants for Individuals
Once you click on the link above, select your 'Location' by choosing your State.
Then, use the 'Category' dropdown menu available to filter your grant interests. We highly recommend selecting only one location and one category at a time for the most efficient results.

15. Am I eligible for grants?

Each grant has its own eligibility guidelines and criteria. Upgrade to a  MemberPlus+ subscription to view the full grant details. We recommend that you preview the grants on our database before signing up, to see if GrantWatch is for you. If you have any particular questions regarding your eligibility, and if it is not listed once you become a MemberPlus+ user, please contact the grant funder directly.

16. Do you have grants for my location?
Our database includes grants for all 50 USA states, US territories, Canadian provinces, as well as a small international selection. To help find grants in your state/province, we have
subsites for each location. This does not restrict you, and you will have the full utilization of GrantWatch.com.

17. How do I search a particular city or county?
GrantWatch can filter grants by State, Province, and US territories. We are currently unable to filter by specific counties or cities at this time. This is because many grants are available State and nationwide, so it is difficult to list every county. Grants that are only for specific counties will include "for eligible counties" in the preview paragraph.

18. Can I arrange my results by the newest date or the amount awarded?
You are unable to arrange your search results by the newest date or amount at this time. The information for the grant award amount is disclosed at the discretion of the funding source. Sometimes the grant funder may not disclose this information.

19. Can I search for grants by my industry type?

Grant searches can be filtered with over 50 different categories. It’s best to select one category at a time for the best results, although you can select multiple. We recommend selecting the category matching your industry first. For example, find all grants available for churches in the category Faith-Based.

20. Can I save my search filters?
You are unable to save your search filters at this time. You can save a particular grant to your
grant calendar, email it, print it, save it as a PDF file, or share it on social media. Please watch our tutorials to learn how to do this.

21. Do you help with finding grants I am eligible for or help with the grant application process?
We are unable to help find specific grants or the application process. You may be interested in
GrantWriterTeam.com for these tasks. We do offer free grant resources to help businesses and nonprofits. These include sample documents, grant application toolkit, legal support, glossary, and funding terms. View our Resources page here.

22. Will I need a grant writer?
Each grant has a different application process. Some applications are simple and designed to be completed without the need for a grant writer. Typically, however, larger sum grants require a more extensive application process. We recommend hiring a
grant writer if you are not comfortable completing the grant application process yourself.

23. Do you have grant writers available?
We recommend
GrantWriterTeam.com There is a $50 non-refundable administration fee that is required upfront. Your job is then posted out to the grant writers. Grant writers who are interested in your job will send you their quotes. There is a minimum spend of $500. The total overall price depends on the grant you are applying for. Please visit the GrantWriterTeam website to learn more about the fees and the process, or email Support@GrantWriterTeam.com for more information. Please note: a GrantWatch subscription does not give you access to GrantWriterTeam.

24. How can I see my grant history or grant calendar?
You can add particular grants from our site to your
grant calendar and also view your grant view history at any time. Click here to view our demonstration video.

25. How do I find grants using the Grant ID number?
If you are searching for a particular grant, please identify the six-digit grant ID number which is unique to all grants listed on GrantWatch.com  Click on the

26. How do I use the keyword search filter?

A MemberPlus+ subscription is required to access the keyword search filter. Please keep in mind that you may need to simplify your search terms if you are not finding adequate results. We highly recommend watching our tutorial on how to narrow your grant search using the Advanced Keyword Search Filter.

27. Is your search Boolean?
Unfortunately, we do not offer a Boolean search. Use a single keyword and match it with category interests for the best results.
See our demo video here. Another helpful tip is to try using the Basic Search Filter - sometimes less is more!

28. What is the success rate of GrantWatch users?
We are a grant listing database and search engine. We do not have access to this information. Once a customer clicks on any grants of interest, they are directed to the grant funder’s site to complete and submit their application.

29. How quickly will I receive a grant I’ve applied for?

Every funding source has its own timeline and method of disbursing grants. If the information is not listed when you view the grant listing, it is best to contact the grant funder directly for further information.

The GrantWatch.com grants search engine is now ready to provide your organization with new access options for your staff, members, or patrons. You can offer your building patrons access, incorporate a subscription with your organization's membership, or give your in-house staff or faculty the "search engine that gets results".  You can also provide our free weekly updates with these new licenses with a collaborative logo and heading.

  • Multiple User ID Licenses
  • Library IP License (for limited or unlimited simultaneous users)

Let's schedule some talk time to review your unique multiple subscription or library license needs. Once we speak, we will be able to design a plan for your organization. You will find that our bottom line is not the dollar, but meeting the needs of your staff, members, and patrons.

MULTIPLE USER ID LICENSE PACKAGES:

GrantWatch offers discounts to organizations that purchase 3 or more annual subscriptions. Associations or lead organizations may want to attach a free subscription or a reduced rate to their membership fee. You may be a school district and want to provide subscriptions to all the individual schools.  Perhaps you are a large hospital or university and need multiple memberships for individuals within the organization with different job titles.  With annual multiple user ID licenses, subscribers can search GrantWatch for funding opportunities whilst in the office and at home, after hours.  Request a quote or call 561 249-4129.

LIBRARY IP LICENSE PACKAGES:

Organizations can provide simultaneous limited or unlimited user access to all patrons within the building with site-wide access when using the same or multiple or a proxy IP address. This access can increase the flow of patrons at a library or provide easy access to all within a large institution. Pricing is negotiated case-by-case, based on the organization type and the anticipated size of web traffic by staff or patrons.  Request a quote or call 561 249-4129.
