NEWARK ROTARY CLUB IS A LOCAL SERVICE ORGANIZATION WHOSE STATED PURPOSE IS TO BRING TOGETHER BUSINESS and PROFESSIONAL LEADERS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE HUMANITARIAN SERVICES, ENCOURAGE HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS IN ALL VOCATIONS and HELP BUILD GOODWILL and PEACE IN THE WORLD. IT IS A SECULAR ORGANIZATION OPEN TO ALL PERSONS REGARDLESS OF RACE, COLOR, CREED, RELEGION, GENDER OR POLITICAL PREFERENCE. MEMBERS USUALLY MEET ON A WEEKLY BASIS FOR DINNER WHICH IS A SOCIAL EVENT AS WELL AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ORGANIZE WORK RELATED THEIR GOALS and SPECIAL EVENTS. THE OBJECT OF ROTARY IS TO ENCOURAGE and FOSTER THE IDEAL OF SERVICE AS A BASIS OF WORTHY ENTERPRISE AND IN PARTICULAR TO ENCOURAGE and FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACQUAINTANCE AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SERVICE. ENCOURAGE HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS IN BUSINESS and PROFESSIONS, WORTHINESS OF ALL USEFUL OCCUPATIONS AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE SOCIETY. INPLEMENT THE APPLICATION OF THE IDEAL OF SERVICE IN EACH ROTARIANS PERSONAL, BUSINESS and COMUNITY LIVE AND THE ADVANCEMENT
