Grants of up to $15,000 to USA nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and other units of government in the contiguous states for programs, projects, and initiatives that improve the quality of life for veterans. Grant funds are available to support new projects or existing programs.

The HomeServe Cares Foundation is focusing the third round of grants on programming that supports veterans support services.  The emphasis on these programs should be in one or more of the following areas:

  • Housing modifications to provide aging or disabled veterans improved quality of life in their homes.
  • Initiatives to reduce veteran homelessness by providing a pathway to stable and dignified living.
  • Programs that provide counseling for transitioning service members to civilian life with tools and guidance for success.
  • Job training programs that help new veterans open doors to new opportunities.

- HSCF Grants will range from $5,000 to $25,000 and several will be available for funding each quarter between April 2019 and March 2020.
- Applications are now being accepted for the third series of awards to include grants in the amount up to $15,000 each.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible Organizations include 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or 501(c)(6) non-profits, municipalities, and other units of government.

This grant may not be used for the following activities:
- Partisan, political or election related activities
- Planning activities and/or assessments and surveys of communities
- Studies with no follow-up action
- Publication of books or reports
- The acquisition of land and/ or buildings
- Solely to sponsor other organizations’ events or activities
- Research and development for a for-profit endeavor
- General operating expenses

Pre-Application Information:

- Applications are due by December 20, 2019, 11:59 p.m. (ET)
- Awards will be announced on or before January 8, 2020
- All projects must be substantially underway by March 18, 2020
