Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $5,000 to Delaware nonprofit organizations in eligible locations that provide direct services to residents in need. Funding is intended to support community service endeavors and programs that assist youth and underserved populations. Past grant recipients have included organizations that provide clothing to children, churches, therapeutic riding organizations, thrift shops, and youth organizations. Eligible applicants serve the residents of the Georgetown and Millsboro communities.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant requests typically range between $500 and $5,000.

Term of Contract:

Grants will be awarded on a one time only basis.  Organizations may submit a new application in subsequent years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Beneficiaries must be IRS-recognized tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations.

Grants will not be awarded to or for:
- Individuals
- Political associations or candidates
- Organizations that provide funding to other organizations or agencies.
- Organizations that discriminate by race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age religion, disability, or national origin
- Bricks and mortar and similar building/construction projects

Pre-Application Information:

The Rotary Club is currently awarding grants once a year. The application deadline is October 31st.
