Awards of $2,000 to Pennsylvania and Delaware certified K-12 educators to recognize exceptional contributions to classroom teaching in eligible counties. Nominees must teach in New Castle County, Delaware; or Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, or Chester Counties in Pennsylvania.

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes 20 outstanding and dedicated local area teachers. Award recipients will receive $1,000 for their schools and a commemorative keepsake, and $1,000 towards classroom expenses.

Nomination eligibility:
- Teachers can be nominated by students, parents, co-workers or supervisors!
- Nominees must be Pennsylvania or Delaware-certified active teachers in good standing that provide direct instruction to students in a classroom setting.
- Nominees must teach in one of the following counties: Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, New Castle,or Philadelphia

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be accepted through December 20, 2019.

Teachers can be nominated by students, parents, co-workers or supervisors.

Recipients must be able to attend the 2020 Partners in Education Celebration on April 23, 2020, at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, to personally accept the award.
