Grants of up to $2,500 to Delaware nonprofit organizations to promote the education, economic, and social empowerment of African American residents. Priority will be given to programs that address education, with an emphasis on access to and retention in higher education.
It is the belief of AAEFD that collective giving will immeasurably strengthen and empower African Americans communities across Delaware. Funding critical projects to meet needs such as the removal of barriers to quality education for the youngest Delawarean African Americans are indeed reachable goals.
Applications that focus on the following will be considered:
- Programs that have specific measurable outcomes that assist students between the ages 14 - 18 to prepare for secondary education
